What a great way to review a classic Tribe Called Quest album, name Wu-Tang members and misspell them…
If i only had one tape to play forever it would be this one.
Scenario not that great except Busta Rhymes
Such an amazing record. Personally it’s a coin flip between this and Midnight Marauders as the best Tribe record. They just released classic record after classic record….I know Beats, Rhymes and life was their best selling record (atleast last I checked that is) but man, those 2 records just optimize hip hop for me. Illmatic by NAS, 36 Chambers by Wu Tang Clan, Ice Cubes Death Certificate & Amerikkkas most wanted, and those 2 Tribe records sum up 90s hip hop at its best IMO. obviously there are many other amazing records released but if someone who wanted to know what 90s hip hop was I’d out them on that. Biggie and Pac are noteable but I feel would be “too obvious” I suppose? Idk but yeah.
My favorite hip hop album by far
I love The Low End Theory and Midnight Marauders. I used to love gangsta rap and hardcore rap. But since 2016 i learned too appreciatie music like atcq, de la soul, jungle brothers, digable planets.
tribe will forever be the best group in hip-hop.
I personally like Midnight Marauders better
The cal intro on this one is my favourite of ALL time.
FREE STYLE……..Jazz Beats
I don’t give a fuck about rap, I prefer rock, but this album is fucking dope. I sort of always judge rap by this record and nothing comes close.
‘Sadat X as well’ ding ding ding as well
“the beats are chocolaty” we get it they’re afrobeats
What a killerrrrrr album!
not gonna lie i still think his meme review outro sounds like the bassline from buggin out
H A I R
It’s probably the best hip hop album of ALL time….

People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm was my introduction to A Tribe Called Quest, mainly the song I Left My Wallet in El Segundo. Next up on the list was Low End Theory, and I’ll admit that while I appreciate PITPR, I kinda like Low End Theory just a little bit more because of the songs. Tracks like Check the Rhime (yes, that’s how they spelled it on the album), Buggin Out, and Butter are my personal favorites. I was kind of out to lunch on the Midnight Marauders album because it never stuck out to me. Then I fell in love with Beats, Rhymes, and Life. Songs like Stressed Out really get me relaxed and at peace, and I know little songs that do that to me.
I know this is a 3 year old video, but Anthony did a great job reviewing this classic, and I hope he continues with his music career or anything he wishes to do with it. 🙂
you put jazz rap in the description twice
