My Philosophy: I love music. I love all kinds of music. And I go into every album wanting to love it, so that’s my starting point for every review. Keep in mind, though, that music is a very personal thing. An album may hit me personally in a very different way than it hits you. That’s complexly natural and unavoidable, which is why I try to include some personal context in my reviews. It’s so you’ll have a better idea where I’m coming from. In the end, it’s still just my personal opinion, which is inherently biased, and which you may or may not agree with. Hopefully, once in a while, we’ll find common ground.

I enjoy these year end top album reviews. I was not familiar with any of these choices but I try to be aware of new artists.
Great Video! Quite a different list from me, here’s my top 5: https://youtu.be/VYub8AzTFOA

Thoughts on St. Vincent? Also, Sylvan Esso. A lot of lists forgo indie, but I view these artists as some of the best this year.
This channel is so great.
NO Wolf Alice?? Liam Gallagher?? Noel Gallagher?? Shed Seven??
Great to see Ryan Adams and Conor Oberst albums on the list. I agree that the salutation album is better with the full band. I saw Ryan in concert this year in Sydney and he really rocked and showed what a great guitarist he is. I thought the Styx album “The Mission” was outstanding, and also Ray Davies and the Jayhawks album “Americana” was really good also. The new Steve Earle album “So you wannabe an outlaw” was another good one

One more thing. I wonder if electronic dance music is your thing or not because since rap isn’t for everything I feel like EDM may not be for you either. What are your thoughts ?
Your year end list is similar to mine. Subscribed for future recommendations
