Eric Church – Desperate Man – Album Review

For my 1028th review, Eric Church slides into an uncertain, scattered place that’s even further from country.

Best Songs: ‘Desperate Man’, ‘Monsters’, ‘Hippie Radio’, ‘The Snake’, ‘Drowning Man’
Worst Song: ‘Higher Wire’

7/10

Sam C. says:

I would say the album desperate man is probably Eric Church’s worst album!

Marek Olsen says:

Almost opened for this guy

The Negan Guy says:

It’s decent not really into this album

Drew Wallace says:

A solid album with a very Muscle Shoals blues feel. It’s a weird listen for sure but gets better and better in my opinion. Higher Wire, Hippie Radio, and The Snake were the best off the album. Mr. Misunderstood will always be my favorite Church album but this is a good mix up and change to Eric’s sound that I appreciate.

Signaturefox 2013 says:

Spectrum Pulse, are you going to cover Ella Mai’s album

Jude Michrofski says:

Are you going to cover A Star is Born and/or its soundtrack?

Grady Smith says:

Great review as always, Mark! I especially agreed that this is one of the few albums that could’ve benefitted from some longer songs. But on the whole, we feel fairly similar. Shooting mine tomorrow.

Ryan Miech says:

Solid review Mark, I thought it was a good album that I will probably listen on repeat for a while, but ultimately it is missing one or two things that will take it to the next level.

Rogue Planet says:

Review that new Coheed record!

Owen W says:

Is anyone else with ad personalization turned off getting a bunch of ads for Christian films on this video?
