my favorite albums from this video are mad lion and illegal
The Murderers was a SICK album. best instrumentals, irv gotti did a good job on the beats. way too underrated…no one gave them a fair chance.
Whats good I know you may remember me comment a few of you’re previous reviews but I enjoy them man. A minute I thought I was the only old head lol. You got a nice collection Ive also been trying to find that Mad Lion Real Ting too and its been about some good years since I wanted it.I heard atleast 6 tracks in which I thought were good. Not feelin this new generation of BS.
I remember C-Bo when he was with the Bay Area like E-40, The Luniz, Dru Down, Spice 1, Celly Cel, and Too $hort. I’m a true Bay Area Music fan and Mobb Music was that kind of sound that was different from G-Funk.
The Truth is a classic album to me. Beanie can definitely spit and pretty much every beat was on point, just has that late 90’s street feel to it
Beanie Sigel is such a great mc. Hes very underrated. Jay Z kind of kept him in his shadow almost i felt.
@immobilarity1 yea it worth it man. really wow that’s a trip. i like both groups tho and headless was featured on the satanic verses track. was headless also supposed to be signed by def jam?
yo whats the track thats playing when your reviewing the murderers album?
Forsure man appreciate you reviewing these albums makes me wanna go out and check em out. Hardly anymore cd stores either cause of the downloading which sucks. most of the classics are out of print which is sad. I was lucky enough to find the only one album by the Gravediggaz the first one Six Feet Deep and found only three albums from Necro at this cd store called Rasputin Music. They didn’t have Flatlinerz or Headless Horsemen but I was album to order the Flatlinerz album on amazon.
no doubt homie
@KickBack90sBeats Yeah it’s a classic. Something with the movies back in the 90s such especially the gang ones were so dark, grim and realistic as if you were watching a documentary on crime. Old school and underground hip hop all the way. Especially the 90s beats. It’s not the same anymore, it’s more trash on the radio today, that’s why thank God for the users on youtube for posting old school and underground music and your page is tight two man. I like the old school vibe of it.
i know what you mean, indeed
Confessions of Fire, the Murderers and Hustler/Rapper- all my shit
Love that Brand Nubian – Return Of The Dread joint
Words of wisdom. Thanks for this videos, keep it rollin.
Nice work Steven!! this is dope
That Illegal album tho.
yeees sir, u know good music ma man, love it
@immobilarity1 Oh yeah I’ve heard of it two but haven’t seen it either and I heard Onyx does two make a cameo in that movie. Yea Brotherhood is hella tight, the first time I’ve heard of them on youtube and first time listening to a non American hip hop group. I wish back then in the 90s I’ve could of heard of them. They are talented two. I don’t have their physical copy but bought their elementalz album from rhaposody and put it on a burn disc. I been bumpin it ever since haha.
I see you got my hood on your wall “Co Op City” lml good review though .
New Jersey Drive is a classic. I remember seeing that on tv. Just 90s classic all the way with the old school hip hop . They don’t make movies like that as much anymore like the most music. Your right they need to put that out on blu ray.
Cam album is fire. Another classic
@immobilarity1 Hell yea man. It’s sad that Flatlinerz, Headless Horsemen and Half Pit Half Dead didn’t get to put out more music and albums. I think these groups are so underrated and they have so much talent than these new day to day crappy mainstream rappers. Their style can’t be touched. I know Jamal ”Redrum” Simmons the leader of the Flatlinerz, is still making music and putting it out for youtube. His song Famous was pretty dope and taking about true shit happening today.
@immobilarity1 Yeah man Gravediggaz are dope one of the Godfathers of horrorcore hip hop along with Flatlinerz and many others. I remember Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight featured the Gravediggaz song 1-800 Suicide which really fit the movie. I sure wish more horror movies would feature more horrorcore hip hop tracks in them atleast the better horror movies not the shitty ones. Have you ever heard or listen to this hip hop group from the U.K. called The Brotherhood?
