Ruff Ryders had a Baltimore connection before DMX’s first album came out. They spent time down there doing some recording. Swizz is from the Bronx, but lived in Atlanta after he got kicked out NYC school district. He was down there on the beat battle scene with Shawty Redd until his aunt called him when they got the label started.
