Album Review #287 – Jazz – Queen

Today i will review the 7th album by Queen: Jazz (1979)

Requested by: Rockdoo

The track listing:

1: Mustapha
2: Fat Bottomed Girls
3: Jealousy
4: Bicycle Race
5: If You Can’t Beat Them
6: Let Me Entertain You
7: Dead On Time
8: In Only Seven Days
9: Dreamer’s Ball
10: Fun It
11: Leaving Home
12: Don’t Stop Me Now
13: More Of That Jazz

Queen Was having major succes up until this point with there first six releases and not to say that Jazz doesn’t add to the succes it did however marked a change for the band. Since they went in a more commercial trend with their previous album News Of The World which pretty had major anthems on them which are so famous i don’t even have to say them. Jazz is still a very good record, but it does have filler on it and was more commerical and easy going then it’s predecessors, something Queen would even more.

The album spawned some classic Queen songs like:

Bicycle Race

Fat Bottomed Girls

Don’t Stop Me Now

Mustapha

and more

My rating for this album is a: 8.60/10
