I goofed in this video. Blue Trane was released in 1957, not 1959…I was confusing it with another Coltrane record…my apologies for bad info. I guess this proves that you should not believe everything you see on the internet!!!
Another great review! You’re teaching us some good stuff here. I’m not as familiar with Joe Henderson and never heard In ‘N Out, at least I don’t think I have. But anything with the tag team of McCoy Tyner and Elvin Jones I’m pretty much sold on. I like how you talked about Kind of Blue and said there’s a lot of space on the album. It’s so true. I really think Bill Evans was good at letting things breathe a bit. The Coltrane and Adderly right and left channel stuff is really cool. I don’t know that I realized that they swapped channels on side two. I’m loving these jazz album reviews, Bradley. Keep them coming! Take care. -Bill
