Metal Church is an American heavy metal band. They originally formed in San Francisco, California in 1980 before relocating to Aberdeen, Washington the following year and briefly using the name Shrapnel. Their self titled debut album was released in 1984.

Damned If You Do is the twelfth studio album by American heavy metal band Metal Church, released on December 7, 2018 through Rat Pak Records.[1] This will be their first release with former W.A.S.P. drummer Stet Howland, who replaced longtime member Jeff Plate in 2017, and the second Metal Church studio album with vocalist Mike Howe since he rejoined the group in 2015. Music videos were made for “Damned If You Do” and “By the Numbers”.

You’re out of your mind or just not a Metal Church fan if you don’t give this album at-least an 8. I consider “The Black Things” a classic church track and “By The Numbers” kicks major ass sort of similar to “Needle & Suture” on the last record.
I do agree that “Into The Fold” is the best track and I wish there were more like it. It’s to this album what “Signal Path” was to the previous album.
But as a Metal Church fan, both Howe comback records have given me just about everything I could ask for. I love these guys. They’ve totally delivered on all cylinders since Mike came back as far as I’m concerned. These aren’t just late career records to tack onto the legacy these are monumental releases in the Metal Church discog. After the staleness of the Munroe era this shit is a major blessing.
I must also mention the production is perfect. Sounds just like XI except the bass seems a bit more prominent.
