Will Ravo says:

Worst muse album ever

[Dark Void] says:

Love propaganda, get up and fight is one of the worse ones. Algorithm, Propaganda, Dark Side, pressure, The void, and especially Blockades, they’re the best! What you talkin bout? This is one of their best albums in my opinion

Skippy Jones says:

For me, it’s 3 straight terrible albums. As much as I love the early stuff, I think I’m done with this band.

lloolloollooii says:

totally forgoten album.
in cantrast to radiohead, who changed styles, experimented with electronic music and progreesed over the years, for the better, muse got worse and turned into a cliche. this album is embarrassing.

i am a big fan of the first 3 albums. at least we alwasy have those songs… ( i like some songs since, and i liked ” the resistance”, but those albums are the real muse for me).

Stefán Atli Jakobsson says:

I think that i agree with every single word .. unless if you liked Get up and Fight, I didn´t quite catch wether you liked it or not.. That is probably the worst thing that they have ever done, that is if we exclude Dig Down.

John Doe says:

I’ve never liked Muse’s style, but I appreciate and respect their talent and skill. They are great at what they do.

Rainer says:

Speaking as a Synthwave fan, this album does not sound like that genre much at all. To the point where I wonder if Muse actually gets it or is just trend-chasing.

Go listen to *Dark All Day* by GUNSHIP to hear what this genre is supposed to sound like.

My Chemical Republican says:

Yeah, I gave it a 5/10 as well. I liked most of the songs, but the low points of the album were unlistenable

Taco1011 says:

I thought Dig Down was good, Something Human was okay, and thought Thought Contagion was weak. Huh,

robinjinxed live gaming says:

Please listen to this and make a video on it, hard hitting lyrical content – well worth a listen https://open.spotify.com/album/2y7dntCHZaFPZoC2DpwZgh?si=pkjH13DoQDeUHY4-IAnT0A

Brian Twohig says:

Gonna have to disagree with you on this.Sure they should have dropped get up and fight and one or two of the alternative versions. But overall the album was a solid 8/10

Jamie Rockwell says:

2nd Law is spotty at best

FrØst says:

I know it’s not very popular
but how about the new Blue October album?

Miguel Prats says:

I liked your review, honestly I disagree with you but I can understand your point here. For me this album is very good and is ambitious, they hadn’t had fun in several years, and I like it.

Wisconsin Fishing and Outdoors says:

All the YouTube critics really shit the bed reviewing this album honestly. Such a shame they’re missing the whole point of the album; it’s meant to be CRAZY. They’re having fun. Blockades, Break it to Me and The Void are amazing works of art.

Jack Bone says:

People calling this album anything but a masterpiece
*They’re wrong*
*They’re wrong*
*They are wrong*

The Batman says:

The Dark Side, The Void, Algorithm, and Blockades are good. Dig Down, Break It to Me, propaganda, thought contagion and pressure are mediocre, something human and get up and fight are god awful. Overall, some nice song but in general It’s their weakest album. Drones was a step in the right direction musically, they just needed better lyrics.

Eoin O'Donnell says:

I always fail to comprehend how people cannot understand the genius and the throwbacks of the duo of Propaganda (Black Holes) and Break It To Me (OoS) . If anything both songs are massive throwbacks in style while paying homage to where Muse are at now in the modern day.

This review is so heavily favoured towards a pure rock centered position; I can understand that considering your channel.

I just implore you to open your mind a bit perhaps, because this adventurous album is VERY Muse.

Cryptati0n says:

i thought this album was pretty solid. Some of the songs like propaganda and get up and fight threw me off but most of these songs grow on you like all muse songs. Dig down was the only unappealing song for me on this one, with break it to me, blockades, and the dark side being my favorites

TheLuiscelaya says:

As someone who hasn’t enjoyed Muse’s work from the past decade, I like this album a lot. I think it sounds over the top in all the best ways and doesn’t take itself too seriously like the last few albums.

CommieCorgi says:

Muse failed to keep me entertained this time around. That’s two albums in a row now. I hope they can make the next album a lot more like old school nuse.

A Taco says:

I’m kind of mixed on the album. It has a lot of enjoyable moments, and I like how they aren’t taking themselves too seriously, but at the same time there are a lot of moments that are straight up bad. Break It To Me’s solo or whatever it is, for example, is an absolute train wreck. But I still like how they’re experimentating and, more importantly, that they did something new and not made a Drones 2.0 or something like many modern bands do. If they could find a better balance, their next album could turn out really great

Ákos Inzsöl says:

Next time in “How did I miss these?” you should check Wilson’s Tasty Nasty album.

Jet Black says:

I agree with you with Propaganda being total crap. Ivet never thought Muse could produce such a disaster and put it on their final record. Overall to me the album has it’s potential. It’s boring at times and Matt is playing it safe. They will gain some value with live gigs. They always do.

Kim Gillespie says:

well matthew Bellamy has never been the best songwriter

Shaban Satan says:

I dont personally hate a song on this album but there are alot of meh songs like Dig down and Something human. Also i dig and love Algorithm,Dark side, break it to me,blockades, the void.
Propaganda and Get up and fight are good too but not as good as the previous

The Krimson Keiser says:

I was really into muse in high school. Didn’t really pan out for me after that. It wasn’t any specific album or anything, I just think they have sloppy execution on some of their ideas. And I can’t stand Bellamy’s voice, especially the falsetto. To me many songs drag or drone along, there’s not a whole lot of buildup or winding down between the soft and loud segments, and there are many bands who do this style better. Radiohead comes to mind. I don’t necessarily think Muse ripped off Radiohead, I just think they have some similar influences and that Radiohead plays the electro-rock stuff better.

Canderous Ordo says:

This is the first Album I am truly disappointed with. The Singles were rather mediocre and the other tracks don’t really get better.
