Though Curren$y and Freddie Gibbs manage to bring out the best in each other and The Alchemist comes through with some classy production, it’s hard not to attribute Fetti’s success in part to its brevity.

CURREN$Y, FREDDIE GIBBS & THE ALCHEMIST- FETTI / 2018 / ESGN / GANGSTA RAP
7/10
Y’all know this is just my opinion, right?

Why you ain’t reviewed anything from GxFR?
Great video Anthony! I’d be curious to hear your opinion or would like to know if you have a review video out on Bourbon Street Secrets (my favorite curren$y project) as I think it’s less lackluster than a lot of other oldies
Don’t review the album unless you actually listen to each song
They should’ve put the song “fetti” on the album.
The suspect allegedly is fya and better then everything out
Spitta has always used and referenced his music and raps as “dope” which is why him referring to himself as a drug kingpin is understood. It’s literally musical dope because he bombarded the fans with this dope and we just ache for more. Real Spitta fans know what I’m talking about with him and his releases. Granted, he’s not the most lyrical or technical but he’s full of gems, gems that fly over people’s heads constantly.
The Alchemist’s production works flawlessly in blending both “dope” raps from Spitta and Gibbs. There’s no denying that the production works as some sort of glue to their cohesion.
Gibbs just goes off! I feel as if he goes harder on non trap beats to “make up” for the “sound loss”. He is a perfect balance to Spitta laid back flow which compliments both rappers respectively. And this is why this project works as well as it does. Balance between lyrics, flow, and production.
The solo cuts was then having fun, for fuck’s sake. If you couldn’t hear that in the raps it makes me question how good of a listen you gave it.
Also, referencing old projects doesn’t give you cool points or make your “growth” points valid.

This is the 197th scored review of 2018.
Honestly think melon was a little too hard on curren$y. Curren$y has been working so hard since at least 2005 on and off with labels, putting out mixtape after mixtape. He has definitely improved throughout the years and has definitely gotten more consistent.
Covert coup still in rotation.
That is Freddie Gibbs singing/harmonizing on remote location
Curren$y doesn’t need to change, he’s awesome. Best flow in hip hop since his young money days
From 3:17 to 3:39 i could tell you don’t really jam or pay attention to Curren$y like that. Dude been rhymin aggressive bars using drug metaphors for his music and lifestyle for years now. Fools always wanna reduce him to just a stoner rapper just cause they don’t pay real attention to his bars.
Review Fat Tony’s new album!
Dude pilot talk 2 is not lacking.. that was an almost perfect album, you sleep bruh
TheManInTheRadiator
Now and Later Gators is fucking Hilarious! LMAO!
