David Madden says:

Deep Purple In Rock was my introduction to Hard Rock as a kid living in England when it came out. I became a huge Deep Purple fan as a result. A very good review.

Strat Pack says:

Flight Of The Rat is also my favourite from the album – aggressive, high energy playing! Roger Glover has said its really Ian Paice that doesn’t want to play it as he doesn’t like the rhythm of the track. Apparently its been tried in rehearsals but no further. One of the few MK2 songs never to be played live at least once in the last 49 years.
