We get it, Moonlight winning Best Picture last year was controversial, but did we really need ten minutes establishing the connection between Black Flag and Black Fags?

Liam Carmody says:

I know you don’t do EPs but can you do Mike Shinoda’s Post Traumatic EP?

If post-hardcore is included, than you have Steve albinis Shellac, Big Black and Rapeman, The Jesus Lizard, Converge, Fugazi, etc.

Lord Succubus, Lord Xenu's Second in Command says:

Couldn’t be happier this genre won over K-pop. I’m ready to see some Dead Kennedy’s records on here. In God We Trust Inc? Plastic Surgery Disasters?

Alextromagnetic says:

So glad K-Pop didn’t win out

Rybread 28 says:

Hardcore and hardcore punk and punk are genres that I been slowly exploring and getting in to the past 2 years. Pop punk and Emo have always and will always be my top 2 favorite genres of music I love pop punk more then anything it’s my life. But I am stright edge so I figured why not explore hardcore and punk and hardcore punk. I do like this album I agree with this entire review. I just like out of step by minor threat a little bit more tbh.

detectivecox says:

Awesome new series!

David says:

Planning to request the new Mike Shinoda EP tomorrow

Markush Dankston says:

I should have left this comment a month ago on the video introducing this series. Part of me hoped that you would go further out of your comfort zone than you are with the series. When I first heard you introduce the idea of this series, I had visions of you talking about jazz fusion or 1st wave post rock. Then again, there isn’t much of a reason for you to leave your comfort zone so abruptly. At least you have reviewed hardcore punk albums in the past. I hope the rest of this series is as interesting as this video was. Keep up the good work I hope I can get a good enough paying a job to become a patron

Elijah Ruby says:

Steel Fury says:

Rise Above is the morning boner anthem =). Seriously though, I have been going through a really tough time lately and today this song was the first thing that was playing in my head which helped me get out of bed this morning. Goes to show the true power of the Punk chorus from this era.

Alejandro Barrera says:

black flag yesssssss

Astrolux says:

Waiting on that How Could Hell Be Any Worse? review

Does this mean post-hardcore as well?

Maybe you could sneak in a Minutemen, Hüsker Dü, or Misfits review in here as well

I can’t wait for a Minor Threat, Dead Kennedys, or a Rites Of Spring review

Ben Leach says:

Please Mark review the new Machine Head album. I wanna see you tear it a new one.

Max G says:

You should review Milo Goes to College

NotRealMusic says:

Appreciate your thoughts here, this is a cool series idea

Misty Dusk says:

I think Henry Rollins’ Get In The Van book (which on YouTube has him reading it) gives more of an idea of how life was for him and a lot of punk bands at the time. It’s kind of depressing but worth the listen.
