witty screen name says:

These comments are hilarious, people meantioning a bunch of unknown metal bands that only they and their close circlejerk of friends listen to. On a global scale this list is alright. Don’t be the stereotypical metal fan, kids.

MetalForTheMasses says:

Ayreon: 01011001, The Faceless: Planetary Duality, Decrepit Birth: Diminishing Between Worlds, Hour of Penance: The Vile Conception, Testament: The Formation of Damnation, Deeds of Flesh: Of What’s to Come, Bloodbath: The Fathomless Mastery seems overlooked..?

..and Avantasia: The Scarecrow (if it counts as metal at all)

Richard King says:

Trivium sucks!

alex hamelin says:

Meshuggah??? lol go listen to Decapitated…

Dr. Weavile says:

Only in the BANGERTV comment section are there people who still use the word poser in 2018.

Lance Lust says:

I am unsubbing for even mentioning Metallica’s Death Magnetic! I HATE that album! Metallica is my favorite band, their first five albums are awesome. Load and reLoad are really good despite not having that Metallica edge. But Death Magnetic…? So disappointing after their worst which was St. Anger!!!

I might have decided not to unsub had Sarah been the bearer of bad news 😉

prince by-tor says:

Would’ve liked an honorable mention for disturbed and bmth too…

Richard King says:

Bloodbath should have been on this list instead of trivial and gojira! Blasphemer!

Ariel Madman says:

Nader Zein says:

Trivium, Gojira, and Amon Amarth are my favourite bands and those are my favourite albums. Damn that was a good year.

DoctorBarbarian says:

Between the trio of Bloodbath albums, Amon Amarth, Nachtmystium, Arsis and Opeth releases, 2008 was a busy year for my ears.

021Sweden says:

we sweds know how to put out awesome metal albums … 3 out of 5 bands on this list are swedish =P

Oskari S. says:

obZen all the way

Brian Asciak says:

Opeth yessssss

Richard King says:

Opeth is a brilliant band and this was a brilliant album.

cabalofdemons says:

Mike Stanislaus says:

2. Testament-The formation of damnation
3. Soulfly-Conquer
4. The Sword-Gods of the earth

Eevil I says:

Trivium? Fucking Trivium?!? One would think that people who follow this channel would know better.

Richard King says:

3 and a half skulls ? Blasphemy!

alex hamelin says:

aquatic rhombus says:

5. Ihsahn – “angL”
4. Nachtmystium – “Assassins”
3. Enslaved – “Vertebrae”
2. Opeth – “Watershed”
1. Esoteric – “The Maniacal Vale”

Admiral Bongo says:

2008 kinda sucked, tbh. Except for WALL-E, it was quite good.

Kalabei says:

“Guardians of Assgard”, oh man, I totally cracked up there 😀

Twisted Messiah says:

Top album should’ve been The Blackening by Machine Head.

Grease Goblin says:

No Darkspace, Coldworld, Monolith Deathcult, Septicflesh?

Jeremy Freeman says:

Allageaon EP……Testament-The Formation Of Damnation…………….Soulfly-Omen………..Gojira-The Way Of All Flesh……Revocation-Empire Of The Obscene

Richard King says:

I give this review 0 skulls out of 5!

giulienk says:

I completely forgot about this album at poll time, but I would say my favorite album of 2008 is “This Grand Show” by Grayceon. It’s unique, it’s their peak, it’s mellow and it blasts. Highly suggested.

prince by-tor says:

Do top 5 albums of 2004!

Groovy says:

Lifelover – Konkurs 😉

Venture Saurus says:

Does Brad seem sad? Or is it just me?

Riff Master82 says:

Terra Incognita, Sirius, Link, and every other album >>>> L’enfant Sauvange or however you spell that French shit. Didn’t care for it

Just Tan says:

I got so hyped when they mentioned trivium although I kinda had a feeling that they would be on here

Nothing says:

Though I’m not huge listener of Amon Amarth, I would leave it on the list. I would switch Opeth with The Blackening from Machine head. I wore a huge back patch from the album for about 3 years.

michael fadian says:

Who’s hiring these people? This dude is a giant tool and knows nothing about metal and possibly music in general than what someone wrote him to say and it’s obvious. It feels like I’m watching someone that got the job and then read a “Metal 101” book and people handed him a bunch of underground band shirts and told him to grow his hair.

John Stiles says:

At least bleeding through got a shout out. Cant wait for that new album to drop!
Feel like you all overlooked the deathcore scene. Heres some albums i was jamming:
Emmure- the respect issue
Acacia strain- continent
Dead to fall – Are you serious?
The banner – frailty
Beneath the massacre- dystopia
Despised icon -montreal assassin

Vic Rattlehead says:

Bloodbath fuckin rule!!

Daniel Gabriel Secară says:

Colin Spliff says:

Crap list! Only one that deserves this list is obZen imo. All of these releases in my collection from 2008 DESTROY the rest of the list if you ask me.
Cynic – Traced in Air
Motorhead – Motorizer
The Monolith Deathcult – Trivmvirate
Impiety – Dominator
Dark Fortress – Eidolon
